Bad Lieutenant

Bad Lieutenant are formed with New Order front man Bernard Sumner (Vocals /Guitar), Phil Cunningham – Marion / New Order (Guitar / Keyboards) ,Jake Evans – Rambo & Leroy (Guitar / Vocals) and Bassist Tom Chapman.

Work starts in the studio on the debut album Never Cry another Tear. Guest appearances on the album from Alex James from Britpop band blur.
Stephen Morris later becomes the bands live drummer.

The official Bad Lieutenant website is launched

September – The first Bad Lieutenant single “Sink or swim” is available to pre-listen on the official website

September 29th – Sink or Swim is released as a digital download.

October 12th – Never Cry another Tear- The debut album is released on the bands own triple echo records.
Available as digital download and 2x vinyl box set including unique art print, limited edition 7 “sink or swim 7” single and T-Shirt. Standard 12 track CD
and Limited Edition 14 track CD’s were also available.

October – Bad Lieutenant play live at, Brighton Digital (20th), London Heaven (21st), Manchester Ritz (22nd)

November – Bad Lieutenant play live at Festival In rocks in Paris.

November – Four U.S date Tour comprising two dates in Chicago and two dates in New York were cancelled due to visa issues.

December – Bad Lieutenant play live at the Becks Music Experience in Hamburg, Germany.

December – Bad Lieutenant support Pet Shop Boys on their UK Tour in Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester and London.

March – Bad Lieutenant play 5 gigs that month Lead mill ,Sheffield (15th) ,Garage, Glasgow (16th) Electric Ballroom, London (18th), 53 Degrees, Preston (20th),
Masque, Liverpool (21st)

March – The second Bad Lieutenant single – Twist of Fate is released on Digital Download.

April – Bad Lieutenant were due to play several dates in the U.S but due to the Eyjafjallajkull volcano eruption in Iceland all flights were cancelled.

June – Bad Lieutenant play live at the Platt Fields Music Festival in Manchester

July – Bad Lieutenant play live at the Roskilde Festival in Denmark.

July 1st – Bad Lieutenant were due to play the Hulfstred Festival in Sweden but the festival was cancelled and the festival organisers filed for bankruptcy

September – Bad Lieutenant Play at the Electric Picnic Festival in Ireland.

October – Bad Lieutenant Cover the Elvis Presley song “in the Ghetto” for the U.K Charity Cenrtrepoint album “1969 Key to change” .
The album was released on 4th October 2010.

February – Bad Lieutenant release the Twist of Fate remix bundle via iTunes.

March – Bad Lieutenant Headline the Friends of Mine Festival (Fomfest) at Capesthorne Hall in Cheshire U.K.

March – Bad Lieutenant release free downloads of the AK47 Twist Of Fate Remixes on their official site
