2005…………
October – “Supergroup” Freebass is formed after a drunken conversation between Hooky (Joy Division /New Order) and Mani (Stone Roses/ Primal Scream).
Andy Rourke (The Smiths) also joined the band. The project is aptly named as there are 3 bassists in the line up.

2008…………
February – Gary Briggs singer in indie band Haven is drafted in to perform Lead Vocals.

2010…………
February – 8th – The Haçienda website is launched. www.fac51thehacienda.com

March – Freebass debut single Two Worlds Collide E.P is released on Digital Download via www.fac51thehacienda.com

March – The official Freebass website is launched at www.freebassuk.com.

April – Freebass Debut Album – It’s a Beautiful Life – is released as a Digital Download via www.freebassuk.com

May – 31st – Freebass play live at The Duchess, York U.K.

June – 1st – Freebass play live at the 100 club, London U.K

June – 2nd – Freebass play live at The Factory (FAC251) In Manchester U.K

June – 3rd – Freebass play Live at King Tuts, Glasgow, Scotland.

June – 4th – Freebass play live at The Brickyard, Carlisle U.K

June – 6th – Freebass play live at the Middlesbrough Free Music Live Festival in Middlesbrough U.K

August – Two Worlds Collide is released on CD on The Haçienda Records Label.

August It is announced on the official Freebass website www.freebassuk.com, that Andy Rourke was no longer part of the line up due to him living in New York.

September – It’s a Beautiful Life – Expanded edition including three extra tracks and instrumental versions is released on essential for Europe records.

September- A strain in relations between Mani and Hooky ensues when Mani takes to twitter to post venomous comments about the Freebass project and Joy Division.

September 9th- Freebass split up citing Recent events have made Freebass unviable as a band (from the official Freebass website)

November – Two worlds collide – The Arthur Baker Remixes is released as a digital download from www.fac51thehacienda.com

December – It’s a Beautiful Life – Expanded edition including three extra tracks and instrumental versions is released on 24 Hour Service Station Records in the U.S.
